Self Sustainability

Sustainability is an ability/skill to survive, grow and prosper. Self sustainability is taking “ownership” of that ability. A self sustainable person “learns and develops” “a way of living” that allows us to survive grow and prosper.

To be self sustainable, we need to be aware of our mental and physical resources and how to maintain them.  If we do not maintain our resources, we burn out; the system physically and mentally, simply can not sustain. Therefore, we will need to develop rhythms, ways of living,  that will allow us to sustain mentally and physically. We will need to learn how to be agile; to shift from one rhythm to another as needed,  often as quickly as possible. We  will need to know when to shift or when not to shift; not to wait until we are forced to shift as a result of a burnout.

So we need to make a decision on how we want to live our lives.

This does not mean that we change who we are,  but “how” we live our lives.

Sounds easy? Oh if it were so!

First, we will need to recognize a need to shift. This can be very difficult as our environment has taught us not to admit defeat; to be strong,  in control,  prefect and at the same time dependent. Many of us like to believe that we are in charge of our ways of living but in reality we are not. We may not be totally aware that the change is needed. Maybe, it has been suggested that we need to make the change.  Once we recognize the need,  we can move forward.

The next step is to find some help. Today there is so much choose from. Be aware that there is no easy way. It will still take effort. Be aware of promises of quick effortless solutions.

We believe change is through repetitive training and practice. We will support, encourage and guide through the mental and physical training.   We will understand you as we practice what we preach.

Sustainability is being able to recognize one’s  limitations.  Self-sustainability is a state of mind where one takes ownership of their ability sustain. It is independence and self care.   Our mission is to respond better  to our environments(response ability). It is a way of living.
